Famous Ugandan TikToker Outa Brian has left many impressed after sharing his first impressions of Nairobi, Kenya’s bustling capital. According to the social media influencer, Nairobi’s cleanliness, organization, and modern infrastructure left him genuinely shocked — especially when compared to his home city of Kampala, Uganda.
During his visit, Outa highlighted several features that immediately caught his attention. Walking along Nairobi’s streets, he noticed clean roads and well-maintained footpaths, a stark contrast to Kampala where dust, potholes, and poorly constructed roads are common. He was particularly impressed by the orderliness of traffic and the presence of sleek, expensive vehicles — something he says is rare in his home country.
“You can walk along the road in Nairobi and not see any dust. The roads are clean, and there are footpaths — something you will never see in Uganda,” Outa remarked.
The TikToker also praised Nairobi’s tall buildings, organized traffic, and modern city planning. These features, he said, make the city beautiful and deserving of its reputation as Africa’s capital.
By contrast, Outa described Kampala as chaotic, with roads dominated by Bodabodas, poor pedestrian infrastructure, and widespread dust. He noted that in Kampala, it is almost impossible to walk 100 metres without encountering poorly maintained streets and congested traffic.
Outa’s observations have sparked conversations online, with many agreeing that Nairobi stands out as a model African city in terms of cleanliness, order, and urban development. His perspective also highlights the differences in infrastructure and urban planning between East African capitals, sparking debates about what other cities can learn from Nairobi’s example.
Ultimately, Outa Brian’s visit and praise shine a light on Nairobi’s growing reputation as one of Africa’s most organized and modern capitals — a city that impresses even first-time visitors.
