““Raila Odinga can easily work with me because he knows me , We Share the Same Beliefs” – President Ruto

President William Ruto has downplayed fears of friction with ODM leader Raila Odinga, insisting that their political relationship is built on shared values and a long history of working together.

Speaking during a public address, Ruto noted that Raila understands him well, recalling their past political journey when he served as Raila’s deputy party leader.

“Raila Odinga can easily work with me because he knows me. I was his former deputy party leader. I am in a very unique position, and that is why we have a broad-based government. The things I believe in are the same things Baba believes in,” Ruto stated.

The president’s remarks come at a time when questions have been raised about Raila’s recent entry into government following high-level negotiations. Ruto assured Kenyans that the partnership is not about personal gain but about building a strong, inclusive administration that reflects the will of the people.

His comments have since sparked debate across the political divide. Supporters view the unity between Ruto and Raila as a positive step toward national cohesion, while critics remain skeptical, warning that the alliance could be politically motivated.

Still, Ruto remains confident that his collaboration with Raila will strengthen governance, noting that their shared beliefs provide a foundation for a broad-based government committed to development and inclusivity.TO READ MORE,TAP HERE
